• What is C4C VIP?

  Check4Change VIP is first and foremost a token of support and appreciation of the project. If you use C4C often and find it useful, this would be a great way to show it! :)
  C4C was released on 2006 and since then countless hours have gone into development, bug fixing, and user feedback replies.
  This support encourages me to keep going, and also helps with the cost of maintenance (servers, domains etc).
  In return for their support, VIP users get a personalized version of C4C that includes some nifty features!

• What's special about the VIP version of C4C?

  After joining, VIP users get an enhanced version of the extension.
  This version has some cool benefits described above.
  

• Who's behind the C4C?

  Well... me. :)
  My name is Ronen Zilberman, I recently graduated and I work part time as a web developer. I've been developing C4C as a pet project in my spare time since 2006.
  A lot is planned for the future too!
  Future features include: SMS notification, background monitoring, saved jobs between restarts, highlight differences after reload, and much more. What would you like to see next?
  

• But isn't C4C supposed to be free? Why do I need to pay?

  Check4Change is free and will always remain so.
  I wanted to find a way to allow frequent users to show their support, but not by simply asking for a one-sided contribution, but rather give something in return too. I think it makes it a fair and inviting way to show support.
  Think of it like buying Girl Scout cookies: They are not asking for a hand-out, but you are not really just paying for the cookies, are you? :)

• Sounds good! How do I join?

  Join by using the contribution box above. You choose the ammount, anything between 3 and 53 Dollars.

• Really? I choose the amount?

  Yep. Instead of setting a fixed price, I thought it would be nicer to allow each user to select the amount he or she thinks is appropriate.
  Consider how useful C4C is for you, and select a number that shows it.

• How long does C4C VIP last?

  C4C VIP membership is for one year from the date of contribution. This is because the project expenses are annual. These include server hosting, domain registration, licensing fees etc. When the membership expires a user can opt to re-join.

• Why did you choose these features for the VIP version?

  I wanted features that would not be missed by new users, yet gladly received by the more savvy ones.
  Furthermore, sending emails requires the use of a dedicated web server (which costs $$$), so it made sense to offer it as a bonus.
